(Besides UAS) What method would you most want for more faster skill unlocking (pvp)?
Choices are:
1. Higher Faction rewards (faction system improvments) 2. Higher Faction rewards that "DO" overshadow Current pve methods (faction system improvments) 3. PvP skill choices though other Guild members unlocking (guild based unlocking) 4. More dynamic skill gaining system for PvE (skill gems, charms ect) 5. Faster PvE charater Growth (xp scrolls for eg) 6. Another different idea For PvP skill gain (Explain) 7. Faster skill unlocking for PvP is not necessary because it overshadows PvE. (No changes) 8. Another reasion why PVP skill unlocking should not be improved (no changes) Please pick a number. |

Whichever the shortest one is that doesn't rely on PvE. Since trying to squish PvE and PvP = pissed players.
... Although... I've heard that skill gems did own... |

9: Reduce faction costs for unlocking skills. I think the current faction costs for runes and upgrades are fine, but the ones for skills are too high.

6. Basically I think there is 3 things they should do.. and I'm no PvP'er..
A. Increase Faction rewards (so you get faction faster) B. Decrease Faction costs (thus can afford stuff faster) C. Enable Signet of Capture in PvP (might be annoying.. but if your going up against a group you know has that 1 elite you want.. sacrifice that 1 slot to get the elite your after..) *shrugs* seems that A & B are the most feasable.. and works with the faction system that they have put into place. C isn't probably feasable.. and would cause PvP'ers to whine that they'd have to sacrifice a skill slot for it |

I don't think anything needs to be changed, things come fast enough as it is. This wasn't meant to be mastered in a month.

TheCrusader - duh! I hadn't thought about that. but that would also require that your teammates be the same profession as you.. but then again.. I can just see ppl going same professions and suiciding just so people could capture the skills.. pfft.
Maybe make it you can only capture from the enmy? .. then again.. that would just lead to groups fighting each other with intention of dying at least once to give the skills to other side.. pfft.. ok. Scratch idea C :P.. didn't think it was feasable.. but admit I hadn't thought it through.. heh Red sonya - the game has been out for 3+ months and you have ppl who have played the game for over 1000 hours, have played through the storyline multiple times.. PvP a lot (and thus got lots of faction).. and have still got load of stuff not unlocked. Thats why they are complaining. They play for all that time and still haven't managed to unlock everything. But I'm not going into that.. as that just leads to flaming and nastyness and pettyness :P In fact I'm surprised this thread hasn't either been locked or deleted or moved yet... and hasn't been reduced to a flame-fest as ppl argue about what to do or not to do |

Thisis a hot topic, however on other forums we have come up with one comfortable solution, that solves every issue.
PvP shoudl be run on a separate sever, and under no circumstances ever be allowed to interacte with PvE PvP games. This way the PvP only can have UAS, and it won't be detrimental to those who want to use their PvE characters to PvP. No blancing is required, no debates about it being to slow, and the PvP can have evrything they wnt, even exclusive areas. Seperating PvP and PvE > PvP in such a way solves all issues. So the PvE plaler can take part in PvP and if they like it make a PvP only character to use on those servers. Guild battles can be doen the same, you can have PvP only battles and PvE only battles, based of you initial game type choice. Separation is the only logcal outcome as both sides want very differant things from the game, and causing unbalance in once side will casue disquite in the other. |

gabby - that wouldn't happen as anet have stated from when they announced GW that the PvP world and PvE would would be combined and united.
If they ran seperate PvP & PvE server's they would divide the community as well as needing seperate servers.. and lets not forget a complete overhauling of the maps and game as it is - what would happen to the PvP area's that are already in the game but designed for ppl under lvl 20? Keep those? or scrap them.. if scrapped thats an aweful lot of changing to area's that would need to happen. There is ample solution's being floated around to help solve the whole unlocking issue without needing to seperate the 2. Forget the fact that anet wouldn't do that anyways. *awaits thread to be closed or deleted* Yep, I expect this thread to be closed and/or deleted sometime. Especially if the thread dissolves into flames or such. Which it's likely to do considering the topic at hand.. |

4 is the right choice.
faction has made playing out the game a waste of time. I have 4 role-playing characters. And now i wish i hadnt wasted my time. Cause i cud have done the more fun thing in pvp. We shud give the role-playing characters some type of advantage. |
